Did I just get your attention? I’m very glad I did!! So by now you’re asking how in the world can I make such a bold claim.

I can absolutely guarantee it. How? By implementing our “Profit First Cash Management System (PFCMS)".

Have you heard of Profit First? Our friend (yes, he’s our friend) Mike Michalowicz wrote a book a few years ago called “Profit First.” I first became acquainted with Mike at a conference several years ago. I was so enthralled with his presentation that I immediately bought and read his book. Then I called up his office to see what other training and support they had available. Turns out they had an entire process available, so I joined in and became a Profit First Professional.

What specifically attracted me to Profit First?

Well, as a business coach and advisor I had been using something similar to his system, but it was just not as elegant and thought out. I’ve learned not to argue with success, so I bought in, went through the training, and now we have not only been using PFCMS in our business, we are also implementing it with our clients.

And it has made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

What difference does it make?

Hey, I thought you’d never ask. What PFCMS does is two basic, but critical things for every business:

  1. It ensures that you have the right amount of cash, in the right place, at the right time.
  2. It is also a strategic management device that we use to help plan and execute business enhancement and accommodate future growth.

How does our PFCMS accomplish that?

Great question!! I can see you’re really paying attention here!! It is actually very simple (notice I didn’t say easy). It’s simple because once it is set up properly, it is actually quite simple to use as a regular methodology in your business. But the key is to set it up properly in the first place. And that is the part that is not always easy.

Sometimes you might need help!!

Oh wait, are you too proud to ask for help? No? I’m very pleased to hear that…

When we work with a client to set up our PFCMS we get right down in the weeds with you. We review your financials, challenge assumptions you have about your business, work through expense management, examine vendor relationships, and the list goes on from there.

In our next article we will explain the process we use in reviewing your financials.
